Fernando José
Torres Sanz (born in Madrid, Comunidad de Madrid, Spain, March 20, 1984, age 28
years) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a striker for Chelsea in the
Premier League and the Spanish national team. He is nicknamed El Niño [4] (The
little boy in Spanish). Torres began his career with Atlético Madrid football
academy until then through the club's main squad. He made his debut in
the 2001-02 season. He scored 7 goals in 40 appearances in two seasons Segunda
División. During play for Atlético, Torres scored 75 goals in 174 appearances
in La Liga. Torres joined the English Premier League team Liverpool in 2007
with the club's transfer record. At its inaugural season with Liverpool, he
made history by becoming the first Liverpool player scored
more than 20 league goals since Robbie Fowler did the 1995-96 season.
Liverpool's Torres became the fastest player in club history to score 50 league
goals after scoring a goal against Aston Villa in December 2009. Torres joined
Chelsea in January 2011 at a cost of £ 50 million transfer; transfer record in
the United Kingdom as well as making it Spain's most expensive player in Spain
sejarah.Torres strengthen the senior national team since 2003. He made his debut
against Portugal in September 2003. Torres is a member of the Spanish squad at

the 2006 World Cup. He scored two goals at Euro 2008, including the winning

but did not score a single goal in the tournament.
